What is LV state "Stale"?

hd4 jfs2 6 12 2 open/syncd /
hd2 jfs2 24 48 2 open/stale /usr


The LV's concerned are mirrored, but the mirrors are out of sync. You need
to run syncvg against them to correct the problem.
